The Moververse

About Us

How the Moververse came to be

Move For Life was the mothership birthstar of the Moververese. This dance company with a focus on education has been in Hong Kong for 7 years and is run by three Australians. They offer dance classes for kids that help them learn and grow as people. Working with a pool of around 1000+ kids all around Hong Kong,in daily classes, holiday camps, and shows, and 1000’s more kids via our Youtube channel.

The benefit of teaching around 500+ kids per month and working with over 30 international kindergartens and schools has allowed us to refine our offerings and develop courses and content that are age-specific, targeted at specific curriculums but holistic in vision and appropriate for classrooms.

Our ways of teaching keep getting better as we learn from the past seven years and face new problems and make new discoveries every day. One thing is for sure, though, kids love using a variety of dance styles, not just sticking to one style, and it's better for them to experience a broad range, so we include Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Kpop, and Jazz into our dance and movement content.

Experts in their Field

5/5
The Moververse, has been an invaluable experience in ensuring pupils are given the very best opportunities to succeed across all areas of Physical Education. Their online resource is easy to follow, with lesson plans, videos and step-by-step instructions on teaching dance. They have carefully picked learning objectives and success criteria suitable for each year (K1 - Year 6). Josh and Victoria led a comprehensive course to guide the department on how we can make the most out of their Move For Life resource. As a department, we were so grateful for the enthusiasm, knowledge and passion that Josh and Victoria brought to the session. It was evident that they were experts in their field and that they had pupil engagement at the forefront of their choices.

Global Perspective

The Moververse is in classrooms all over the globe, helping teachers and children get moving in the classroom.

We aim to be holistic in our approach and consider dancing a form of mindfulness that transcends culture and language.

We love to learn about how we can complement classroom learning, so please do tell us if we don't have your curriculum, and let us know what curriculum you use, and we will be sure to add it to the list of resources we are developing.

Made by Teachers

Our teacher resources have been created by a combination of experienced and insightful teachers and professional dancer teachers that have worked closely with both teachers and kids in schools, so you are getting access to proven methods of teaching and knowledge from years of failures and corrections on how to get the most out of a large number of children at once, not just kids that dance in their spare time after school.

We have always had a 90% + engagement rate in big groups of kids, which is quite a challenge, so we understand how to put kids and teachers at ease and keep things inclusive.
